The First Show

My ugly display table

This is the first time I ever went to a gem show. It was the 2006 Buena Vista show. I had no idea what I was doing but I had a ton of fun and made a little money. It was A eye opening experience for me as I met A lot of interesting people and started to make my connections in the mineral world. My girlfriend at the time was nice enough to let me miss one show day to go collecting aquamarine with a couple of my new friends that I had made at the show (Frank and Leon Nelson) I still see them every year up on Mt. Antero and still like to go help out with their claim when I have time. This is the show that started it all.

Denver 2008

WOW!!

This is not my display although I wish it were. I have been to many shows since then. I have not set up at but one or two although I have been carefully planning and collecting and learning what it is that I need to be doing. This display belongs to Keith Proctor and Scott Rudolph and is truly world class. (maybe someday)
